GLOBAL NETWORKS

Through strategic collaborations with our global partners and active participation in international networks, Universiti Malaya (UM) offers diverse and enriching programs in global education, research, and entrepreneurship. Students have the opportunity to gain valuable cross-cultural experiences and develop a strong appreciation of global issues, while also gaining perspectives from Asia. Our faculty members are well-connected with globally oriented colleagues around the world, engaging in collaborative educational and research activities that cannot be achieved as effectively in a single location.

Currently, UM is a member of fourteen (14) global university networks that leverage the diverse and distinctive strengths of member universities to achieve excellence in education and research. Its contributions to some of these networks include:

  • UM Vice-Chancellor is a member of the ASEAN University Network (AUN) Board of Trustee
  • UM Vice-Chancellor is a member of the Board of Governing body of the Asian Universities Alliance (AUA)
  • UM Vice-Chancellor is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) Council Member
